HEALTH AFFAIRS RECORD GROUPS
The University's Division of Health Affairs was created in 1948 as the Division of Health and Medical Affairs. It consists of the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health; until recently, it also included a number of health-related research centers, institutes, and programs.
The title of the Division head was, initially, Administrator for Health and Medical Affairs, but, for most of its duration, the position was titled Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs. In 1996, the title of the position changed to Vice Provost for Health Affairs, and, in 1997, it was eliminated. At that time, the Provost assumed oversight of the Health Affairs units.
