RECORDS MANAGEMENT LIAISONS

The role that Records Management Liaisons fulfill in the records management process is integral to the proper maintenance of UNC records. Records Management Liaisons work with University Archives and Records Service to develop and maintain records retention schedules for their respective departments/offices. Liaisons serve as the main point of contact for University Archives and Records Service staff. They coordinate the preparation of records transfers or destructions as directed by the records schedule and coordinate Records Management events and participation within their offices.

The staff of University Archives and Records Service aids Records Management Liaisons through:

Liaisons are appointed by the chair and/or head of the department/office with University Archives and Records Service. Use this form to appoint a liaison for your office.
