Please RSVP to uncrecordsmanagement@gmail.com by June 6, 2008 to reserve your spot.

Do you have a story about records management in your office? The liaison with the best submission will receive a special prize at this year's RML Meeting. Last year's winner, Kim Stahl from UNC-TV, arranged a department-wide records management day, where they shredded nearly 7 tons of records. How awesome is Kim? We enjoy all of your records management stories and would love to hear about your triumphs and defeats! Send your story to uncrecordsmanagement@gmail.com.

This year, we'll also be having a records management Haiku contest-the winner will get a sweet prize! Haiku are short poems consisting of 3 lines. The first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, the third line has 5 syllables, and they traditionally include a reference to nature or seasons. However as Haiku have become Westernized, and as poets grew greater understanding of Haiku, there are fewer who adhere to the traditional structure. In essence, Haiku should say very much with few words. So, feel free to experiment! Send your Records Management Haiku to uncrecordsmanagement@gmail.com. The top three Haiku as selected by our judges will be presented at the meeting and the attendees will vote for their favorite.
