View the Person Volume

Eliza H. Person belonged to the well-known Person family of North Carolina whose papers are held in the North Carolina Collection of UNC-Chapel Hill, located in Wilson Library.

This volume contains pieces that date from approximately 1810 to 1824. The pieces are undated, but dates are derived from Richard J. Wolfe's Secular Music in America 1801-1825: A Bibliography. The volume includes music for piano solo as well as voice with piano. There are a few pieces with flute parts included as well. The first piece of the volume is the complete opera of The Ethiop by Raynor Taylor.
