The UNC-Chapel Hill Music Library has a large collection of popular music resources including sound recordings, videos, books, scores and journals. Keep in mind that that not all materials are in the online catalog yet, so if you don’t find what you want there, be sure to chec the appropriate card catalog as well. This handout guides you to only some of the many resources available in the Music Library and on the UNC campus. If you need further assistance, please ask a staff member for help.

Many of the popular music anthologies are located in our Hall Cabinet. To browse the contents of these anthologies use the black notebooks located on the song index shelves across from the Circulation Desk. Each notebook is divided into categories and then alphabetical by title.
