Photocopies, Photographs, and Scans in the North Carolina CollectionPhotocopies There is a self-service photocopier in the 2nd floor Reading Room. Copies are twenty-five cents per page if using dollar bills and change or fourteen cents per page if using a UNC One Card or Library copy card. The photocopier accepts dollar bills, change, or UNC One Cards or Library copy cards. Some materials in the North Carolina Collection are too large or too fragile to copy on the self-service copier. Researchers should consult with the reference staff to determine how best to capture images from these items. Photographs Digital photography of most North Carolina Collection materials is permitted. Researchers may use their own personal digital camera or borrow a camera from the North Carolina Collection reference desk. Researchers wishing to photograph materials must fill out a brief use agreement. Please see our Camera Policy page for more information. Scans There is a self-service scanner in the 2nd floor Reading Room for patron use. Alternately, the North Carolina Collection will provide reference scans as long as staff are available to do the scanning and the materials are not too large or too fragile. |
