The North Carolina Collection has been a full participant in the North Carolina
State Documents Depository System since the program began in 1988. Many selected
state publications published prior to 1988 have also been acquired. All current
state documents received by the North Carolina Collection are listed in the
University of North Carolina online catalog.
Many other state documents can be found by searching the State
Library's online catalog. For access to state agency websites collected
by the State Archives and State Library, see the North
Carolina State Government Web Site Archives.

Hours & Location
The Government Resources of the North Carolina Collection are housed
in the Research Library of the North Carolina Collection. The hours are
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm; and Sunday

Accessing the Collection
The North Carolina Collection is a closed-stack library. Staff members
will retrieve library materials for patrons. Researchers need to bring
a current form of photographic identification in order to request materials
from the stacks. All library materials are currently stored on-site and
can be quickly retrieved. However, NCC materials are occasionally inaccessible
when on exhibit or loan, or when receiving conservation treatment. Many
of the government resources are available in different formats including
microform. Machines are available to view and print from all types of
microforms. Copy machines and copy services are also available.
