The Clay County courthouse in Hayesville, late 1930s. Architect G.W. Bulgin designed this building and construction was completed in 1889 at a cost of $7,799.50. It resembles the demolished Macon County courthouse (also designed by Bulgin) and is a well-preserved example of vernacular Italianate architecture.
