One 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch photographic album inscribed "Bought at Charlotte, N.C. July 23-01, During Firemans Tournament." The album contains 83 photographs covering a variety of subjects. Noteable images include scenes of Buffalo, N.Y. made during the Pan-American Exposition of 1901, Niagra Falls, and New York City. The album also contains scenics of Charlotte, N.C., New Bern, N.C., and Fort Macon, N.C. Additional subjects include landscapes, genre scenes, group and individual portraits, images of swimming and boating, hunting scenes, houses, parades, and circus elephants.
One 10 x 12 inch photographic album containing 258 photographs and one black and white reproduction of a painted seascape. The photographs consist primarily of group and individual portraits of Wootten and Moulton family members and acquaintances swimming and sun bathing at the beach. Additional subjects include photographs of soldiers, sailors, and others at Camp Glenn and Fort Macon near Morehead City, N. C., camping and fresh water fishing scenes, photographs of children, individual portraits, and images of African-Americans working in a cotton field.
Box 18: Albums (46 photos)
One 6 x 9 inch photographic album titled "Happy Days in Dixie" and inscribed "Wootten-Moulton."on the cover. The album contains 15 captioned photographs of Wootten and Moulton family members and acquaintances on an excursion to a lake possibly near New Bern, N.C. Images include scenic views and portraits of groups and individuals. One of those pictured and identified as "Katherine" might be Pittsburgh photographer Katherine Jamieson.
One 6 x 8 inch photographic album titled "The Firm's Kids, 1909" and inscribed with Bayard Wootten's signature on the cover. The album contains 10 captioned photographs of various members of Wootten's family engaged in activities including fishing, boating, and domestic life. The album also contains a print of the Wootten photographic studio located in Morehead City, N. C.
One 12 x 17 inch scrapbook containing 26 photographs and manuscript material including newspaper clippings, post cards, letters, and photographic exhibition brochures. Much of the material relates to the photographic career of Bayard Wootten
