Scope and Content
The collection consists of a matching set of 52 card-mounted portraits of Watson's fellow members of the University of North Carolina Class of 1899, produced by the Cole & Holladay studio of Durham, N.C. Most of the portraits are autographed by the individuals pictured, who are listed in alphabetical order below.
Four of the portraits are unidentified. Members of the Class of 1899 not listed below who may be pictured include Edward Stephenson Askew, Edgar David Broadhurst, Robert Green Singleton Davis, Blanford Barnard Dougherty, Jesse Knight Dozier, Henry Mauger London, John Kirkland Ross, and Edward Jenner Wood.
