Requesting Reproductions

1. Familiarize yourself with the conditions for use.

2. Review the reproduction charges and commercial use fees.

Reproduction charges are determined by two categories of fees: production costs and commercial use fees.

The Photographic Archivist determines commercial uses fees, when applicable, which will be included in the price quotation. The total price quotation (production, commercial use, and handling fees) must be paid in full before an order can be started.

Work begins from the day NCCPA receives payment.

Rush orders will not be accepted.

Currently accepted forms of payment include cash or check in U. S. funds. Credit cards, debit cards, or UNC One Cards cannot be used.

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Departmental orders may be charged to university accounts by supplying the following information:

• Name of person who can authorize the expenditure.
• Campus address (including campus mailbox number), telephone number, and e-mail address.
• Account number—ten digits consisting of:
  • Ledger Number (one digit)
  • Account Number (five digits)
  • Object Code (four digits)

Please provide the Photographic Archives staff the following information:

• Full contact information
  • Name
  • Address
  • "Ship to" address if different from above
  • Telephone number with area code
  • E-mail address
• Statement of intended use
• Requested item(s) {with collection number(s) and negative number(s), if known}
• Detailed order specifications
  • For digital scans:
    • Resolution (pixels per inch)
    • Format (JPEG, TIFF, PDF)
    • Image output size
    • Mode (black-and-white or color)
    • Media (CD-ROM or e-mail)
    • Delivery (pick up, USPS, FedEx, DHL)
  • For inkjet prints:
    • Print surface (luster or matte)
    • Print size (up to 24 x 30 inches)
    • Delivery (pick up, USPS, FedEx, DHL)
