An interracial group of more than 100, including University students and faculty, students from area schools, and local residents, met in Graham Memorial to discuss higher education for African Americans in North Carolina. The assembly passed and forwarded to the state legislature a resolution in favor of admitting African American students to graduate programs at UNC.Top |
