On the Paul Green Theatre's opening night, the first production of Green's "Native Son" ever produced south of the Mason-Dixon line was staged. A 1921 graduate of the University, Green returned from study at Cornell University to join the faculty of UNC in 1923, remaining until he resigned in 1944 to devote his time to writing.Top |
