2005
The 5,000-pound top of the Unsung Founders Memorial on McCorkle Place was installed by Facilities Services. The sculpture was the culmination of a three-year collaboration between the University’s Class of 2002 and Korean sculptor Do-Ho Suh as the class's gift to the University. The inscription reads "The Class of 2002 honors the University's Unsung Founders--the people of color, both bond and free who physically built the University we all know today."Top |
