Public Health Research

The imprint holdings, manuscript collections, and online references maintained by the University Library are vast. For researchers investigating regional public health issues, the North Carolina Collection and the Southern Historical Collection in Wilson Library are excellent starting points for investigation. By far, however, the largest and most diverse assemblage of medical resources can be found in the Health Sciences Library on south campus.

HEALTH SCIENCES LIBRARY

The University's Health Sciences Library collects, preserves, and provides access to materials that illustrate the evolution of medical science and practice of healthcare. The Historical Collections division of the library houses biographies of North Carolina health professionals as well as archival materials, including a collection of letters written by Florence Nightingale.
