Recall Chapin PLanning Library Books

The Planning Library provides a special electronic form, shown below, for recalling books that are checked out or for placing a hold on new books that haven't arrived in the Planning Library yet. The recall process can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks. With both recalls and holds you are notified by email when the book is ready to be picked up at the Planning Library. In order for your request to be processed quickly, you should complete all fields on this form.

Recall Request Form

The UNC-Chapel Hill Libraries post a weekly New Books List on their website. New books that the Planning Library receives are kept temporarily on the New Book Shelf. The electronic form can be used to place a hold on a new book so that you can check it out as soon as it arrives in the Planning Library.

Please Note:
Davis Library and other campus libraries also have recall forms. Be sure to use the Planning Library Recall Form to request books held by the Chapin Planning Library.
