Archie Green, an American folklorist and retired Professor Emeritus at the University of Texas, specialized in occupational folklore, that is, records of working people's culture and society.

The Archie Green collection is a group of 570 printed volumes of occupational folklore, that includes first editions of Faulkner, fiction and non-fiction dealing with folk and popular culture, and works on social movements and phenomena. The collection also features volumes of labor songbooks and songs of the IWW (Industrial Workers of the World, aka "Wobblies"), a united workers' movement. Some examples of these songbooks' titles include "Songs of the Discontented" and "Songs of the Unemployed". It also features songs by Woodie Guthrie and the Labor Party. Much of this material dates back to the Great Depression, providing extremely useful information for cultural historians and folklore scholars interested in American workers.
