| American Factfinder | From the U.S. Bureau of the Census. Source for all census data including employment. By clicking on Fact Sheet one can then enter the name or zip code of a community or choose a state to retrieve the census data for that area. This enables the user to get employment data down to the community level. More comprehensive data sets also available. |
| LINC | Log Into North Carolina provides access to a wide range of statistics pertaining to the state, including local employment and unemployment numbers. |
| Local Area Unemployment Statistics | From the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Monthly estimates of total employment and unemployment prepared for about 6,800 areas. |
| Monthly Labor Review | A publication of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Select
"Current Labor Statistics" for access to Employment and Unemployment.

A monthly survey conducted by State employment security agencies in cooperation with the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The survey provides employment, hours and earnings estimates based on payroll records of business establishments. |

The numbers given refer to tables, not pages. Useful for historical
data. Will not provide data for current or previous year. This resource
