Business and Company Resource Center
(UNC only)
Business and Company Resource center brings together in a single database company profiles, company brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies, full-text articles, investment reports, industry overviews, and financial and trade association data. Once an initial search has been executed, Business and Company Resource Center provides a results tab bar. Simply click on a labelled tab to pull the kind of results you want (investment reports, financials, contact information, management, etc.)
Factiva
(UNC only)
20,000+ company reports - customized profiles of companies from around the world. Enter Companies/Markets at the top of the screen (in the green bar) to perform a company search orcompany screening on a collection of nearly 24,000 global companies using 26 criteria. Current quotes and market data are available from Reuters Investor. Instrument types supported include global stocks, market indices, mutual funds and corporate bonds.
LexisNexis Academic
(UNC only)
This database covers general, regional and international news, company news and financial information, legal information (including law reviews, case law and legal rulings), and other topics such as biographical information. Many of the files are full-text. Also useful are full-text search options for SEC filings and Stock Reports(located under "Business.") Date ranges for coverage of material varies but some sources go back to the 1970's.
Osiris

OSIRIS is a comprehensive database of listed companies, banks and insurance companies around the world. Covering 125 countries OSIRIS contains information on over 43,000 companies
OSIRIS contains specific report formats for companies, banks and insurance companies and also has reports that reflect accounting procedures in the major world regions. Both standardized and "as reported" financials are provided. OSIRIS brings together data from various sources. In addition to the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and ratios OSIRIS provides news, ownership, subsidiaries, ratings (from all the top 3 agencies: 19 ratings are available), earnings estimates and stock data. In addition to the existing ratios you can create your own that you can display in the reports and also use in your searches and analyses.
In addition this database contains graphing capabilities and integral analysis software that allows one to compare companies against each other and produce tables and graphs to illustrate results. These can be downloaded into most packages.
Securities Exchange Commission Search for financial information on publicly traded U.S. companies. This site provides electronic access to SEC filings done from 1991 to the present day. Also given are descriptions of the various forms used in connection with securities undertakings.
Another excellent site for SEC filings (one that allows downloading to Excel) is EdgarScan from PriceWaterhouseCoopers
Thomson ONE Banker
(UNC only)
Search for company descriptions, a deep range of financial information, and key fundamentals. This database covers both U.S. and international corporations.
Print Resources Description
SEC-File Index 1978-1998 (formally known as Q-Data) is an index to a microfiche collection containing Annual Reports, 10K's, 10Q's and Proxy Statements. Full microfiche collection is filed by year in the Reference Room.

CAROL (Company Annual Reports Online) A free on-line service offering direct links to the financial pages of listed companies in Europe and the USA. CAROL provides direct access to companies’ balance sheets, profit & loss statements, financial highlights etc.
