Business & Company Resource Center brings together in a single database company profiles, company brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies, full-text articles, investment reports, industry overviews, and financial and trade association data. This resource includes: Encyclopedia of American Industries, Encyclopedia of Emerging Industries, and Encyclopedia of Global Industries. Once an initial search has been executed, Business & Company Resource Center provides a results tab bar. Simply click on a labelled tab to pull the kind of results you want (investment reports, financials, contact information, management, etc.)
Current Industrial Reports Since 1904, the Current Industrial Report (CIR) program has been providing monthly, quarterly, and annual measures of industrial activity. The primary objective of the CIR program is to produce timely, accurate data on production and shipments of selected products. The data are used to satisfy economic policy needs and for market analysis, forecasting, and decision-making in the private sector. These surveys measure manufacturing activity in important commodity areas such as textiles and apparel, chemicals, primary metals, computer and electronic components, industrial equipment, aerospace equipment, and consumer goods. MarketLine Business Information Centre

This resource contains brief company, industry, and country profiles. The database covers over 10,000 companies and 3,000 industries. Information on companies includes: company & business description, history, key employees, products & services, competitors, company view, and locations & subsidiaries. For some companies there is a SWOT analysis and a product analysis. Industry Profiles include: overview & size, segmentation, competitive landscape, leading companies, definitions & key terms, and forecasts.
Economic Census Profiles most sectors of the U.S. economy. Taken every 5 years, in years ending in "2" and "7." Online data available for 2002, 1997 and 1992.
NAICS Codes The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) has replaced the U.S. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system. NAICS codes are used in the 2002 Economic Census
