Mintel is a leading provider of competitive media, product, and consumer intelligence. The company produces market research reports for Europe, the UK, and the US. Reports cover a variety of sectors including consumer goods, travel and tourism, financial industry, internet industry, retail, and food and drink. Reports discuss market drivers, market size and trends, market segmentation, supply structure, advertising and promotion, retail distribution, consumer characteristics, and market forecasts.

Contains world economic and demographic data, sales of consumer products, forecasts, consumer behavior and lifestyle statistics, as well as retail trade analysis. Print equivalents are International Marketing Data and Statistics, European Marketing Data and Statistics, Consumer Eastern Europe, Consumer Europe, Consumer International, Consumer Latin America, Consumer USA and Consumer Middle East. The information is compiled by Euromonitor International. This database also contains the full text of market research reports issued by Euromonitor.

A service provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce, this database allows users to search for market and country research. To access these resources click on the link for "Globus & NTDB." "Market and Country Research" is one of the headings on the next page.
TableBase

International in scope, although approximately 2/3 of the records focus on North America, TableBase provides summary statistics about companies, industries, products, markets, and consumer behavior, including rankings, forecasts, market shares, and product sales. It includes summarized statistical tables from hundreds of business periodicals as well as statistical yearbooks, market research reports, trade association publications, and investment analyst reports. Subjects covered include: company and brand rankings, demographics, imports and exports, industry and product forecasts, market share, number of users/outlets, productions and consumption statistics, trends, and usage and capacity. Business & Company Resource Center brings together in a single database company profiles, company brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies, full-text articles, investment reports, industry overviews, and financial and trade association data. Among the more useful resources included in this database is the Business Rankings Annual which ranks businesses within industry category. Once an initial search has been executed, Business & Company Resource Center provides a results tab bar. Simply click on a labelled tab to pull the kind of results you want (investment reports, financials, contact information, management, etc.)
Business Source Premier

Full text for more than 8,800 serials. Business Source Premier provides full text back to 1965 (or the first issue published for that journal) and searchable cited references back as far as 1998. To the right of the screen click on Market Research Reports to directly access this information.
American FactFinder Provides US Census data from 1990 to the present. American FactFinder allows the users to access data from the 1990 Decennial Census, the 2000 Decennial Census, the 1997 Economic Census, the 2002 Economic Census and the American Community Survey.

This database provides market research and industry news for all facets of the sporting goods and sports marketing industries.
