"Issued by the Office of Management and Budget, the Budget of the United States Government is a collection of documents that contains the budget message of the President, information about the President's budget proposals for a given fiscal year, and other budgetary publications that have been issued throughout the fiscal year." This includes analytical perspectives, historical tables, and an appendix that contains detailed information on appropriations.
"The Consolidated Federal Funds Report (CFFR) covers all states, the District of Columbia, and US Outlying Areas. CFFR data were obtained from Federal government agencies. These data cover Federal expenditures or obligations for the following categories: grants, salaries and wages, procurement contracts, direct payments for individuals, other direct payments, direct loans, guaranteed or insured loans, and insurance. Dollar amounts reported represent either actual expenditures or obligations." As of 2012, "Due to the termination of the Federal Financial Statistics program, the Consolidated Federal Funds Report (CFFR) website, including the On-Line Query System, is no longer available." However this page links to the historical publications and data.
Present records on all types of financial assistance awards made by Federal agencies to all types of recipients during the indicated quarter. Each Federal fiscal year begins on October 1 of one calendar year and ends on September 30 of the year indicated. Each transaction record identifies Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) program code number and name, the type and amount of financial assistance, the type and location of the recipient and the geographic place of performance." Historical Federal Assistance Award Data System (FAADS) data will be publicly available at the National Archives and Records Administration.
