CPI is a measure of the average change over time in the prices paid by urban consumers for a market basket of consumer goods and services. Click the links under "Get Detailed CPI Statistics" to get current and historical data on natural gas, gasoline and electricity.
In addition to price information, this print resource also provides statistics on supply and demand. Commodities of interest include: coal, electric power, gas, gasoline, heating oil, petroleum, and uranium. Historical data going back 5-7 years is ususally available. The International Price Program produces Import Price Indexes (MPI) and Export Price Indexes (XPI) containing data on changes in the prices of nonmilitary goods and services traded between the U.S. and the rest of the world
The Producer Price Index is a family of indexes that measures the average change over time in the selling prices received by domestic producers of goods and services.
