Department of Labor – Statistical Reports
Three reports are made available:
Occupational Fatality Investigation Review (OFIR) - Updated monthly, this report deals with workplace fatalities that have been or are being investigated by OSH. Fatalities are listed by industry, by district office, by type of fatal event, by gender, by race, month, and weekday. Some statistics are available from 2002 forward.
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Annual Comparison Report - This report provides a three-year comparison ending with the fiscal year listed, and highlights North Carolina's occupational safety and health program. Data is maintained on inspections, violations, penalty assessment, litigations, consultations, fatalities, construction, and occupational injury & illness incidence rates. Statistics are available from 2001 forward.
OSH Most Frequently Cited Standards - A listing of the 25 most frequently cited "serious" construction standards, broken down by type of violation. This report also lists the 25 most frequently cited "serious" general industry standards, also broken down by violation type. Statistics are available from 2002 forward.
Employment and Wage Data by Industry – Employment Security Commission
Search by NAICS code for employment and wage data from 1990 onward.
Government Salaries Database
Salaries of all state government employees, including information regarding department, position, age and postion type. Public school employees and most university system employees are not included.
Labor Market Information – Employment Security Commission
Click on "Labor Market Information" to access. This resource provides access to statistics on the employed, unemployed, unemployment rates, unemployment rate release schedule, insured unemployment statistics, quarterly workforce indicators, announced closings and layoffs, employment and wages by industry, North Carolina's largest employers, monthly employment hours and earnings, North Carolina industry projections, employment and wages by occupation, area labor analysis, workforce in-depth database, and much more.
Log Into North Carolina (LINC)
Log Into North Carolina provides access to a wealth of North Carolina employment and income statistics. Topics include labor force, employment by industry, occupation, payroll, income of persons, earnings by non-farm & non-government industry, special transfer payments, household & family income, and poverty. . Selected data is available by state, county, municipality, or region.
State Employee Statistics
Data is available by state employee age, agency or department, appointment type, county, education level, gender, occupation, pay grade, race or ethnicity, service year, and university or school.
University Pay Database
Current data on the salaries of all university system employees, including professors and administrators.
WebSARAS – Employment Security Commission
A good source for demographic and labor market information for the state and various geographic areas. Descriptive tables are provided for analysis and summary information for many data elements may be displayed on color coded maps.
