Be Active North Carolina presents a quick fact sheet of statistics dealing with issues of obesity and physical fitness. The topics include the health consequences and economic burden of obesity, nutrition, physical activity, the schools, technology, and preschoolers.
Child Health Data
Provides access to Child Health Report Cards (2005-), which contain statistics on insurance coverage, breastfeeding, immunization rates, early intervention, elevated blood lead levels, asthma, dental health, teen pregnancy, communicable disease, overweight, physical activity, alcohol, tobacco, and substance abuse, infant mortality, low birthweight infants, child fatality, deaths due to injury, child abuse, and child neglect.
