Scan a Book or Journal with the Fujitsu and ScandAll

If you use the program ScandAll, it will create a PDF faster than Acrobat. With ScandAll, you can avoid having to adjust the settings as you scan each page. However, you cannot view your scan job while you scan in ScandAll.

Warning:  Large scans may cause ScandAll to crash.  We recommend you save and name your file after scanning every 30-40 pages.

To scan a document with the Fujitsu using ScandAll:
  • Open scanner lid. Use page feeder for multiple-page scans. For single pages or with delicate originals, place document face down on glass.
  •
  • Open ScandAll..
  • Select  Scan > To Adobe PDF...
  • TWAIN window appears. Check settings. Choose FlatBed as Scan Type:

  • Select Scan
  • When scan is complete, click Close to finish.
  • In the Specify the PDF file name window:
    • Give your file a name
    • Save as Type: Adobe PDF File (* .pdf)
    • Click Save

Next, you will see a brief pop-up appear while a program called Adobe Distiller automatically creates the file.

  • Go to the desktop. Use Adobe Acrobat to view your file.
