Scanning stations

Scanning Guide | Flash Video Demos | Saving Your Files

Self-service scanning is available in the Davis Library Reference Department.  4 stations are available to all, and 5 are reserved for UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty, and staff.

At these stations, shown on the map below, you can scan images and documents or scan to text using optical character recognition (OCR) software.  All have CD-RW drives for CD or DVD burning.  Users agree to Scanner Policies when using these stations.

Blue = Available to general public
Red = Reserved for UNC patrons

Hardware

The Mac is attached to the Epson scanner, and the UMAX and Fujitsu to PCs.

All printing from scanning stations is black and white. Print jobs go to nearest printer in the Reference area. Color printing is available in the R.B. House Undergraduate Library in the Information Commons. All computers on the main floor have the option of printing to the color printer.
