Search Tips

Welcome to the GIS DataFinder Search Page. Find the data layers you are looking for by following 4 easy steps.

Step 1: Enter keyword search string. (Optional)

Step 2: Limit your search by Geographic Area of Interest. (Optional)

Enter the Country or Territory of interest. View a list of Countries and Territories

Enter the State of interest (U.S. only). View a list of States

Check the box below if your area of interest is the entire globe.

Search results will include small scale, generalized data.

Step 3: Leave the below box checked to limit search results to data available on the campus network (AFS). What is campus AFS?

Step 4: Since some of our data are licensed for use by UNC-CH affiliates only, please check one of the following boxes.
