Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I use the GIS Data Finder?

Please Note: Flash player plugin is required to view this demo.
This Tutorial Is For Current UNC Affiliates
An AFS client is required to access spatial data stored on the campus network. If you would like to set up an AFS client on your computer, please see these instructions.
The AFS client software is installed in many labs on campus, and is set up exactly as presented in this demo on the public GIS machines in Davis Library Reference GIS Services, and in the ITS computer labs. The machines in these locations have the root of the campus network mapped to the J: drive.

Additional Information
At this time, remote access to the Davis Library spatial data collection is available for current affiliates of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill only.
