1:00 - 2:30: GIS Workshop, DAVIS LIBRARY 247

Using ModelBuilder for Regional Modeling, with instructor Jeffrey Brown
Jeffrey is the Senior Analyst and Project Manager, NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis.

Workshop Description:
The purpose of this short course is to give each student an understanding of a regional modeling framework as well as practice with geospatial data and software in the computer lab. The content includes explanation of a practical application of land suitability modeling using raster (grid) datasets and ModelBuilder (ESRI ArcGIS, Spatial Analyst extension). The second part of the class will include hands-on practice with ModelBuilder using a set of criteria and datasets.

2:30 - 4:30: Refreshments, Map Competition, Visit with GIS Professionals, DAVIS LIBRARY 215 (note room change)

Enjoy some snacks, get your questions answered by GIS Professionals, and participate in our Map Competition!
