Online GIS Training Available to UNC-CH Affiliates
UNC at Chapel Hill has a site license for ESRI products which is maintained by ITS. Through this site license, UNC at Chapel Hill affiliates (current faculty, staff, and students) have free access to many online courses through ESRI's Virtual Campus.

How to Enroll
Email Amanda Henley with the following information:
- the name of the course you would like to take
- your full name as it appears in the UNC at Chapel Hill Directory
- your onyen
You will receive a course access code via email. Once you have received the course access code, go to ESRI Training. If you are already a Virtual Campus member, sign in with your member login and password. If you are not a member, click "Join now" under Member Sign-In and complete the form to become a member. There is no fee to join. There are many other free resources you may find useful at the virtual campus. While you're there, take a look at their online library, as well as the online workshops they offer.
New to GIS?
Beginners may find the following courses especially helpful:
- Getting Started With GIS - This course is free from ESRI, no access code is required.
