Instruction, Tours, Classes

The Reference Department of Davis Library offers instruction sessions in business and economics, the social sciences, the arts and humanities, and related disciplines. Librarians will tailor the session or sessions to your class' specific library needs. Specialized instruction sessions may be arranged on the types and uses of materials in a particular subject area or discipline.

Instruction sessions for electronic resources can be included in or be the focus of a session. Two instruction laboratories (one with fourteen workstations and the other, twenty-nine) allow librarians to provide hands-on instruction in the utilization of electronic resources.

Reference librarians can also arrange tours of Davis Library and of the Reference Department for groups or classes. Tours may be general or focus on materials and services of interest to a particular group.

For information on library instruction classes or tours, please contact Lisa Norberg, 962-1355 or lnorberg@email.unc.edu.

For additional information regarding instruction in the Academic Affairs Libraries, please see Instructional Services.
