- These series comprise the old BCI data set which was published in the Survey of Current Business. These series are no longer updated in the Survey. N.B. Many of the series are updated in other places - a good way to find them is to search by the name in http://www.fedstats.gov/

- Datastream (UNC only)
- This database must be accessed in Davis Reference Department. It is online service that provides international economic and financial data in time series format. Series are acquired from national governments and banks, the Federal Reserve, the International Monetary Fund, OECD, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and other international agencies. Additional features include commodity prices, debt and equity information, exchange rates, interest rates, stock market indices, futures, options, and much more. Time coverage varies, but many series are available in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual intervals for up to 10 years or longer.

- More than 2900 of macro series from the database of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. One of the largest collections of data on the U.S. economy. - US Business Cycle Expansions and Contractions
- Known as the "NBER Official Business Cycle Dates," this table, from the Survey of Current Business, October 1994, gives reference dates for troughs and peaks of business cycles and the duration in months of each.
