American FactFinder
From the Census Bureau. "American FactFinder lets you search, browse, retrieve, view, map, print, and download Census data." Create custom tables and maps or use the Data Set feature to access all available tables for 2000 and 1990 Decennial Census, as well as 1997 Economic Census and American Community Survey data. Census Schedules in Davis Library, UNC Chapel Hill
Microfilm copies of the decennial U.S. census schedules, 1790-1920, are available in the Davis Library Microforms Collection. Census schedules, which include names of individuals, are available primarily for the U.S. southeastern states. Great Britain Historical Database Online
A database of British 19th and 20th century statistics. Demographic, employment, mortality, marriage, trade union, and poor law statistics are available. North Carolina Census Data, 1960, 1970, 1980
"North Carolina census data from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s full-text searchable online for the first time. The collection, housed in file folders at the State Data Center since it was created from federal census data decades ago, contains invaluable county- and state-level demographics information and enumeration district maps from 80 of North Carolina’s 100 counties. The majority of the data dates from the 1980 Census, however, the maps, as well as counts of population and housing data are available from the 1960 Census, and “Selected Characteristics” for 99 of 100 counties are available from the 1970 Census."
