Software Requirements for E-Reserves

Students who wish to use e-reserves will need access to the following software to view PDF documents:

  • E-Reserves work best with Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
  • Important: You will need the latest version of Acrobat to work with most E-Reserves readings. If using computers in R.B. House Library, Acrobat Reader is already installed. From an off-campus computer, you will need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free. Consult the Acrobat Reader FAQ page if you experience trouble with Acrobat Reader.

If you experience problems, particularly if the screen appears blank when attempting to view an E-Reserves document, your browser is probably not configured to view PDF documents. For help, call the IT Response Center at 962-HELP or email them at help@unc.edu.

Off-Campus Users

Students, faculty, and staff with a valid UNC-CH onyen may access e-reserves from off-campus. For help with your onyen, go to: http://onyen.unc.edu.
