Enslavement in the American South: A Sample of Documents from the Southern Historical Collection will be on view in Wilson Library through August 1.

The free public exhibit features items from the Southern Historical Collection that relate to enslavement in the United States. A special focus of the exhibit will be the commercial aspects of the slave trade and the experiences of enslaved Africans and African Americans.

The Library has produced Enslavement in the American South to coincide with the conference "The Abolition of the Transatlantic Slave Trade: A Bicentennial Reflection," sponsored by the Moore Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (MURAP).
