Additional proxy changes to affect firewalls (4/22/2002)

In an effort to improve speed and reliability of proxy.lib.unc.edu, we will be implementing some changes in early May that may require firewall users/administrators to make some slight additional changes to their firewall configurations.

If you use a firewall that requires numeric IP addresses, please see the updated information under the "Firewall Configuration" section of http://proxy.lib.unc.edu/ezproxy_firewall.html.

This is new information as of 4/22/2002, and should not be confused with the similar 3/26/2002 spotlight. Affected parties should make this configuration change as soon as possible, even though the previous configuration will work until May 13.
