UNC’s Wilson Library to host Veterans’ Day treasure tour of special collections

In honor of Veterans’ Day, the Louis Round Wilson Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will host a treasure tour of its special collections. The tour on Friday, Nov. 10 will highlight materials relating to the American military from the Civil War to the Gulf War.

Among the items to be shown are Civil War-era artifacts, posters from World War I and World War II, and letters and photos from World War I of former UNC professor Paul Green.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will run from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Participants should meet in the lobby of the Wilson Library.
