He Was a Poem: An Evening of Poetry Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King

"He was a Poem: An Evening of Poetry Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King" will feature University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill students, faculty, and staff reading sixteen poems in honor of Dr. King. Kim Arrington, a poet from Durham, N.C., will also read two of her own poems, "From the Balcony of the Lorraine Hotel" and "Coretta."

The free public program, presented by the University Library and the Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History will take place Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Sonja Haynes Stone Center Theater.
