"New 1968, Renewed 2002"-- Exhibit in Davis about UL
When the R. B. House Undergraduate Library opened in 1968, it was a
state-of-the-art learning facility that integrated academics and
comfortable surroundings in one space. In the thirty-some years since its
grand opening, the "Undergrad" became dilapidated and outmoded, due
largely to the more than 1 million patrons it serves every year.
The
exhibit "New 1968, Renewed 2002" reviews the early history of the
Undergraduate Library, covers the new renovation and interior design, and
includes some interesting facts about "what's new in the House." It's on
display in Davis Library through the first week of June, 2002. The
renovated Undergrad will be open for the fall semester.
