New Catalog Debuts

The University libraries have unveiled a new online catalog as part of the transition from their former automation system to the new Millennium system from Innovative Interfaces, Inc. The new catalog, for instance, offers the ability to retrieve, through a single search, materials that are on order as well as those that are available on the shelves in our libraries.

Library staff are continuing to review the data that was transferred from the old system, performing database clean-up activities, and implementing new processes and workflows. This is an ongoing process and, as in any project this large, there are bound to be a few bumps along the road.

As the new Millennium system is implemented over the coming months, new functions and features will be available which will further integrate library services and provide more information about our print, media, and digital resources.
