Where has the telnet version of the catalog gone?
In response to requests to place links to FilmFinder and the Media Resources Center more prominently on our website, the Web Team has made a few changes to the homepage:
| Old Order | New Order |
|---|---|
| Library Catalog (web) | Library Catalog |
| Library Catalog (telnet) | Other Library Catalogs |
| Other Library Catalogs | Course Reserves |
| E-Indexes & Databases | FilmFinder |
| E-Journals | E-Indexes & Databases |
| Course Reserves | E-Journals |
| Library Collections | Library Collections |
| UNCLE | UNCLE |
There are still options to get to the telnet version of the catalog from the homepage. First, a link has been added to the telnet version of the catalog from the "Catalog Links" imagemap in the upper right hand corner of the web interface:
You can also enter the command to open a telnet session in a web browser at any time by typing telnet://library.unc.edu/ in the address or location toolbar of your browser:
We hope that the new links and telnet options will provide greater access to more resources.
Thank you.
