Where has the telnet version of the catalog gone?

In response to requests to place links to FilmFinder and the Media Resources Center more prominently on our website, the Web Team has made a few changes to the homepage:

  1. The links "Library Catalog (web)" and "Library Catalog (telnet)" have been collapsed to "Library Catalog." Clicking on this link will load the catalog web interface where you will find a link to the telnet version of the catalog.
  2. A link to FilmFinder has been added as the fourth item under the "Resources" column.
  3. A link to Media Resources has been added as the last item under the "Services" column.
  4. The order of the links under "Resources" has been rearranged to group like resources together.

There are still options to get to the telnet version of the catalog from the homepage. First, a link has been added to the telnet version of the catalog from the "Catalog Links" imagemap in the upper right hand corner of the web interface:

You can also enter the command to open a telnet session in a web browser at any time by typing telnet://library.unc.edu/ in the address or location toolbar of your browser:

We hope that the new links and telnet options will provide greater access to more resources.

Thank you.
