Pox Americana: A Talk by Dr. Elizabeth A. Fenn

Treating the Sick in North Carolina, 1500s-1900s"

Dr. Elizabeth Fenn, professor at Duke University and author of Pox Americana: The Great Smallpox Epidemic of 1775-1782, will give a talk on the disease's history and its effects on the American Revolution. Dr. Fenn's lecture coincides with and complements a current exhibition in the North Carolina Collection Gallery titled "Sour Stomachs and Galloping Headaches: Treating the Sick in North Carolina, 1500s-1900s."
