Research Fund Proposals due November 16

UNC-Chapel Hill faculty members are invited to submit requests for the purchase of library materials for research and teaching.

The Library Research Fund supports the acquisition of unusually costly titles or those in subject areas underrepresented in Library collections. It also helps to address needs of new faculty members for specialized materials.

The Library has allocated $80,00 to the 2007-08 Research Fund. The Collections Committee of the Administrative Board of the Library will evaluate and prioritize all nominations. The deadline for submitting requests is November 16, 2007.

Materials purchased on the research fund should:

Nominations may include electronic media and databases, primary source materials, expensive single volumes, microforms, multi-volume reference sets, and facsimiles.
