The Road Revisited: A Talk by Ann Douglas

Ann Douglas, a leading cultural historian of 20th century America, will speak about continuing interest in Jack Kerouac and the Beats. In addition to the On the Road manuscript, the exhibit will display rare first editions, letters and manuscripts by Kerouac and various figures in his circle. A highlight will be photographs of Kerouac and other Beats taken and annotated by poet Allen Ginsberg. Material from the papers of Edie Parker, Kerouac's first wife, will be exhibited for the first time. The exhibit will be on display until December 15, 2005
