Important Change to Catalog Telnet

Access to the character-based (non-Web) version of the Library's new catalog now requires a secure shell (SSH) connection rather than telnet. This allows us to provide a higher level of security against electronic intruders. Any library patrons wishing to connect to the UNC-Chapel Hill Library's catalog can download a free copy of PuTTY. This will allow them to create SSH connections to the catalog.

(Macintosh/Linux/UNIX users can use the built-in Terminal program. Connection settings are below.)

Once you have downloaded PuTTY, follow these simple instructions to set up and connect:
