Words Can Do Little: Spike Saunders's World War II Correspondence

J. Maryon "Spike" Saunders (AB '25, MA '26) was executive secretary of the General Alumni Association from 1927 until 1970. During the war years, Saunders worked tirelessly to document the military activities of UNC alumni and to keep them connected with Chapel Hill.

"A Nursery of Patriotism" will be on view through February 29, 2008, in the Manuscripts Department. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Call 962-1345 for information.
