Maps of Liberia
Part of the Library of Congress’ American Memory historical collections, this site contains digitized maps of Liberia created in the 19th century by the American Colonization Society. Virginia Emigrants to Liberia Project

Wonders of the African World
This site is the online companion to the PBS series Wonders of the African World with Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. The series is presented in six episodes, each of which focuses on different areas of the African Continent. Each episode includes information about the area, its natural and man-made ‘wonders,’ entries from Professor Gates’ diary, and insights into the culture and history of the area and its peoples.
