We've all heard about the Boston Tea Party, but do you know that there was an Edenton Tea Party? This digital narrative tells the story of fifty-one women who met in Edenton, North Carolina to boycott the purchase and consumption of tea and clothing from British manufacturers. This meeting has been referred to as "the earliest known instance of political activity on the part of women in the American colonies."
