Interlibrary Loan
Can't find the article, book, or report you need at our library? You can request it from another library through interlibrary loan.
Before You Start...
To increase the accuracy of your searches in the onling library catalog, include the opus or thematic number of the work if it has one. To locate this number, search in the WORKS list under the composer's name in either Grove Music Online or the appropriate print volume of the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians in the Reference Room.
Searching the Online Catalog
The best way to search for scores or recordings is by KEYWORD
using the most distinctive words in the author's name and work title.
Keyword: Bach flute partita 1013
Keyword: Mozart flute concerto 315
You can also specify a particular performer.
Keyword: flute Brooks de Wetter-Smith
Use the options on the left side of the results page to refine your search by format or other paramenter(s):
Music (Printed Music, Music Recordings), Audio, Subject (Flute and violin music, Flute ensembles), etc.
If UNC-CH doesn't own the piece of music you want, use
WorldCat
under Music Resources on the
Music Library web page
to search for a library that owns it and will
Interlibrary Loan
it to you.
Make a note of the OCLC Accession number of the item you want and include it in your request.
